Located within Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong and just a 5-minute walk from Marine Parade MRT station, Baba Chews sits in the heart of Katong inside the former Joo Chiat Police Station heritage building, a landmark that reflects the neighbourhood’s rich history and architectural character. Our culinary identity is rooted in dishes inspired by the neighbourhood and the rich heritage of Katong. While we continue to introduce fresh expressions of modern Asian dining, we remain grounded in what defines us. Our signature classics – Singapore Peranakan dishes continue to form an important secondary core of the Baba Chews experience, offering guests familiar flavours that honour tradition alongside newer creations that brings a more contemporary perspective to the table.

In 2026 Baba Chews welcomes a new chapter with a line-up dishes that reflects this evolution. New highlights such as Nasi Lemak Risotto with King Prawn, Ayam Buah Keluak Fried Rice, Black Pepper Squid and Octopus, Pomelo Chicken Salad, Salted Egg Lobser Pasta, Char Siew Pork Ribs, and Singapore Chilli Crab Bao. To complete the expeience, our latest desserts including Gula Melaka Burnt Cheesecake, Matcha Tiramisu, Pandan Creme Brulee brings together familiar Asian inspirations with a fresh, contemporary finihs. The Menu will showcase our approach to modern dining, rooted in local inspiration, expressive in flavour, and deeply connected to Katong’s culinary heritage.

Baba Chews is set within the former Joo Chiat Police Station (1928-1987), a conserved building recognised for its architectural and heritage value. The space blends history with contemporary comfort: a vibrant modern palette, generous natural light, and locally inspired design details that echo the character of Katong and Joo Chiat-a district known for its conservation shophouses, cultural charm, and celebrated food scene.

Daily Breakfast Delights From 6.30am

Discover the perfect way to kickstart your day at Baba Chews in the charming Katong neighbourhood along East Coast Road. Our semi buffet breakfast at Katong is available daily from as early as 6.30am, offering a delectable mix of Western and Asian selections complete with your choice of the finest Common Man coffee, the rich flavours of TWG tea and refreshing fruit juices.

For a memorable morning feast, our walk-in prices are as follows:

Adults: $35++ per person
Children (7 to 12 years old): $17.5++ per child
Children below 6 years old dine for free.
