Baba Chews is the all day Modern Asian restaurant at Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong, located in the heart of Katong-Joo Chiat along East Coast Road. Established since 2016, we bring together bold Asian flavours, thoughtful technique, and welcoming neighbourhood spirit-making us a favourite for locals, hotel guests, and travellers exploring Singapore’s East.

Our menu celebrates the best of contemporary Asian cuisine with comforting classics and creative twists. Expect standout signatures such as our 18-hour braised Beef Cheek Rendang, alongside refined plates like Octopus Squid Ink Pasta (a tribute to Sotong Masak Hitam) and Nikkei-inspired favourites such as Assam Halibut Risotto. For those cravings timeless mains, we also offer Western classics.

Baba Chews is set within the former Joo Chiat Police Station (1928-1987), a conserved building recognised for its architectural and heritage value. The space blends history with contemporary comfort: a vibrant modern palette, generous natural light, and locally inspired design details that echo the character of Ktong and Joo Chiat-a district known for its conservation shophouses, cultural charm, and celebrated food scene.

Daily Breakfast Delights From 6.30am

Our semi buffet breakfast at Katong is available daily from as early as 6.30am, offering a delectable mix of Western and Asian selections complete with your choice of the finest Common Man coffee, the rich flavours of TWG tea and refreshing fruit juices.

For a memorable morning feast, our walk-in prices are as follows:

Adults: $35++ per person
Children (7 to 12 years old): $17.5++ per child
Children below 6 years old dine for free.
